CLUB SELECTION
Use any club but the putter to hit a full shot.

SET UP
The key areas to remember when setting up for a full shot are:        
                                                                                                                 


 

1. Clubface - should point towards the target
    (see putting clubface aim)

2. Hold – ten finger hold or overlap hold, hands
      placed half an inch from the top of the grip.

3. Stance & Body Aim (feet) shoulder width.
     The body should be parallel to target line

     (see week one).

4. Posture – keeping the back flat tilt forward
     from the hips and slightly bend the knees.

 5. Ball Position – Irons - centre
                         - Woods -  inside left heel.

                                                                                                      6. Weight distribution – 50 / 50 equal on both
                                                                                                           left and right side.

Swing Motion.

1) The full swing is a progression from a pitching backswing –see pic 1.
2) Turn the shoulders to 90°, the hands should be above the right shoulder - see pic 2
3) Follow through - mirror image of pitching backswing –see pic 3.


4) Allow the body to turn though fully to face the target in a balanced position, most of the weight should on the left side and right foot turned fully on to the toes – see pic 4.
